There are so many social media platforms out there right now, but every church AT LEAST needs to be on Facebook and Instagram and here’s why: this is where the core people are who are active members in your church.
So what should you be doing on these platforms?
You should be sharing content that people will (a) want to share to their friends and (b) encourage your followers. You can post announcements, but honestly, people in your church don’t want your social media to be a news bulletin. They want your social media to speak to them.
On Facebook and Instagram, you should be focusing on 4 different kinds of posts:
1. Sermon Points/Recaps
2. Encouraging quotes or Bible verse
3. Mini Sermons
4. Pictures from church life
We know that you don’t have a lot of time as a pastor, so we wanted to give you two different posts for the first three categories (since we can’t take picture of your church). Each post comes with a graphic (or multiple graphics for one post) and text that you can copy and paste into your post.
